• Kneaded erasers

I have to say that the kneaded eraser is a must have for me. I don’t know about you but when I am sketching there is copious amounts of erasing involved. I hate all the eraser shavings. Enter the kneaded eraser. I absolutely love this thing. It erases beautifully and absolutely NO shavings. Once it starts to get dark you just knead in into itself and begin again. I purchased a 12 pack of these babies on Amazon. You will need a small container to store it in so it doesn’t dry out. I got a small paint container from Hobby Lobby to store mine in.

  • Pointed Oval wash -watercolor brushes

Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite watercolor brushes. At first glance one would think you could only use this as the name suggests….a wash brush. I was completely surprised when I found I could make flowers with it. I was hesitant to spend the money for the Silver Limited 3/4” pointed oval brush so my first purchase was the Princeton Neptune 3/4 pointed oval. After doing research I really wanted to try out higher quality pencils. I had come across Prismacolor Colored Pencils. When I first found out about them in 2015 they were still a bit out of my price range. In July of 2017 after I published my first book(links to purchase are in the sidebar on the right) I found a set of 24 on Amazon for $14.95. Here is one of the pages in that book colored with those…

  • Supply Saturday-IPad Pro and Apple Pencil

This is the first in my Supply Saturday posts. I will be sharing with you some of my favorite supplies. From time to time I may also share the ones I didn’t particularly care for and why. For this first installment I was inspired by a comment on my June 24th blog A Little About My Process where Donna asked How do you get all the different thickness lines only having an iPad pen. In your second book the words have a patterns in them. How do you do that? The Apple Pencil is an amazing tool that works in tandem with the Procreate App. Here are a few pictures showing the…
